Property Overview

Saulaine is a serene and enchanting place in all seasons. In the summer and fall enjoy bonfire gatherings surrounded by trees and meadow. Participate in volleyball, basketball, soccer or walk the shoreline of the river. Swim in the secluded, magical river or canoe and kayak!

Enjoy angling - catch and release only - for licensed anglers who purchase a day pass or season pass from the Superintendent, Ieva Lagzdina on site.

Consider camping short term at the riverside campground sites shaded by large trees. While no potable water, washrooms, or electricity is available in this area, a “porta-potty” is in place during the season and can be arranged for special events at other times.

In the winter experience the beauty after a snowfall, cross-country skiing or walking on our property and in the Nottawasaga River valley. Saulaine is also close to Collingwood’s excellent ski hills.

For your comfort, stay in the Dorm or motel style rooms in the summer, and the Main House all year round.

Please Note: Visitors who are not members or accompanied by members of the St. John's Ev. Lutheran Latvian Congregation or a Saules Kalns Cottage Association member, are not permitted to use the property without booking or registering an approved event.
